Blush Pink and Silver – Inspiration Moodboard 02

Posted by / Colour Moodboards, Inspiration

I’ve realised it’s been a while since the last time I’ve shared one of my inspiration boards with you. In actual fact, I have been pinning away for quite a while (you can follow my boards on Pinterest for more) putting together different inspiration boards for two or three styled shoots I have in mind, but I thought today I’d share a classic with you.

This colour combination is a classic favourite – pink it’s the fairytale colour, the one every girl loves until she realises that life is made of so many other cool shades. Many of us tend to shy away from pink as we grow up, feeling it’s too much of a girly colour, however I’m a strong believer that when it comes to elegant weddings, there is no colour that is as delicate, elegant and tasteful as muted pink, particularly when combined with a classic silver / grey.

Pink wedding dresses are becoming more and more popular, and with pink I’m not talking about princess-like-Jordanesque-dresses! Some of my favourite include CL29 by Le Spose di Gió and Holly from Vera Wang SS12 collection – they are incredibly elegant, modern and feminine at the same time.

Grey can be incorporated into so many aspects of your wedding, including icing on the cake / cupcakes as in picture 3, 7 and 8, silverware (picture 2) and decor elements (9), and the most obvious – the groom’s suit. It’s very easy for him to also incorporate blush pink by wearing a soft pink tie and matching handkerchief.

Stationery, flowers, and even wedding favours can all support your wedding theme. Have a look at Etsy wedding section for some great, and reasonably priced ideas.

If you have a specific theme in mind but you are not sure how to make it come alive, do let me know and I will happily put a moodboard together for you!

xoxo Betta
